Let the Bidding begin!

At midnight tonight Eastern time... lol got some of you excited.
Here is a refresher:
Here's what you do if you want to sign a free agent.
Creat Thread Title with free agent's name (thats if he doesn't already have a thread).
Post free agent's name, position, age, and rating.
Post your team's name.
Post how many points your team has.
Post your bid for the free agent.
Other teams would then make their offers in the same thread as well. If the original team decides to up their offer, then they will need to make another post. At the end of 48 hours the free agent will go to the highest bidder unless an bid was made in the last 30 minutes, then those who have already placed a bid have 30 extra minutes to respnd with a higher bid...

Initial Point Distribution
Worse teams get 30 points.

10 points for me...bah. If someone can, please PM me and explain how I can add points by cutting guys. I know I can add some through cutting, I just don't understand how many get per player. Please like give me an example too and go step by step if you can. Thanks.

if we can get points by cutting players that needs to be explained to EVERYONE.
Another thing i was thinking of. If a team is the current high bidder on any free agent, they should have to consider those points as gone for the time being. We dont want to have a problem of anyone throwing around more points than they have and then trying to drop out of certain offers they've made after they got the players they wanted most.

We dont want to have a problem of anyone throwing around more points than they have and then trying to drop out of certain offers they've made after they got the players they wanted most.
No there should just be a punishment for people that go over. If you are bidding on one guy that costs 6 points, and then bidding on another that cost 5 points, and you only have 11 points availble, you should get those players, be -1 point available, and lose a draft pick depending on how far over you go.

So wait... do we know what the entire FA board looks like? I probably won't have the game until mid to late afternoon tomorrow and don't know who all the FAs are.

Those who get the game on release will have a slight advantage in that they will know who are FAs.
The leage wont be set up until midnight pacific and bidding starts midnight eastern.

As long as you get the game within 48 hours, it shouldnt be a problem since no player can sign until 48 hours after the first bid is made.
anyone else here about this stupid "extra" package that can be bought for $5 online??? I guess it alows you to play on an extra hard level(above all-madden) and gives you a ton of cheats to use in your season(whether or not they can be used in online leagues or not was not said in the article i read) some of these cheats included giving all players a 10 point ratings burst for a quarter and accelerated progressoin of ratings in a franchise. There was a few other things, but hopefully we can disallow this from being in the league.

I dont think Vick is in the game, he will probably be added once the first roster update comes out. If he is a FA in the game when it is released then he should go to the Eagles.

What ever roster are in the game at midnight tonight is the ones that are being used with or without Vick... that signing doesn't make sense to me by the way.

Are you sure we shouldn't start this until the first roster update comes out? There were a lot of changes with impact players to quite a few teams....

roster update is already out and the league is using updated roster. We are doing this now.

We will go by this. Make sure you post in Free Agents that you are cutting him and how many points you get for it.
