ATL/JAX Trade Empty ATL/JAX Trade

Post  delpanator23 Mon Jul 13, 2009 1:20 am

Jacksonville gets: DE John Abraham 95, FS Brandon Meriweather 79, OLB Kieth Brooking 86
Atlanta gets: CB Rashad Mathis 93, FS Reggie Nelson 83, OLB Justin Durant 72

This trade is about as fair as they get probably. ATL gets a #1 CB which they need, Rush LB, and a 1st along with Reggie Nelson who is a personal favorite of mine. Jacksonville gets an Elite Edge rusher which they need bad, a CB to replace Mathis, a FS Merriweather who is basically equal to nelson and a better OLB than Durant although older....

This trade is pending the ATL/Pitt trade

Jacksonville, what the hell are you doing?

You are giving your THREE BEST YOUNG DEFENSIVE PLAYERS for two players who will retire next season and a 32 year old defensive end. AND you gave him your 1st ROUND PICK on top of that...

ok abe is a 31, he will play for another 4 season minimum, the madden producers even said it. That and he is the #1 pass rusher in madden for the DE spot. Brooking was just a filler to replace durant for a season or 2, he is an 86. Tyrants, u told me i won the deal heavily when i traded jamaal anderson for him, anderson is the same age, has more poteintial and is 2 less overall than durant, tell me how i all of suddenly win this too... Mathis is 2 years tounger than abe, so there really isnt any difference. Reggie Nelson is getting replaced by a YOUNGER Meriweather. its the same thing as the delmas chung deal.

Abe + Townsend + 6th = Mathis and 1st
Brooking = Durant
Meriweather = Nelson

Stop trying to say i win everyone of my deals when i dont.

Yeah, let em find it, they said players at the top of thier game wont retire until after 34.

he is 31 this season, 32 next, then 33, then 34. thats 4 years. He could go longer. Ill try to find the link for you.

Q: Has anything been done to the logic to stop players from retiring too early?
A: Yes. The retirement logic has been tuned so that less 30-34 year old players with a higher overall rating retire. You’ll still see players retire, but if they’re any good, they’ll stay around a little longer.
